Manager/Sr. Manager - Quality Control (Fabrication)

Gaining an understanding of the client's needs and requirements and communicating them and the quality standards to the production teams.

Collaborates with management and senior staff across production departments and roles to draft acceptable quality standards.

The preparation and control of project quality system management documentation prior to project commencement.

Devising, improving, and reviewing new specifications and procedures for products or processes, and training staff to use them.

Setting the requirements for raw materials from suppliers and monitoring their compliance.

Assesses test results and approves recommended changes.

Reviews quality control documentation such as checklists, logs, and reports for effectiveness, accuracy, and relevance.

Perform all internal and external audits on behalf of the companies management

Monitor all quality related activities on the project

Supervising inspectors, technicians, and other staff members and providing guidance.

Inspecting the final output, comparing it to the requirements, and approving or rejecting the final goods.

Gaining feedback from the clients, attending meetings, submitting reports, and assisting external auditors and inspectors.

Desired Candidate Profile

• B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 18-20 years of experience in Steel Structure and Fabrication
• Candidate should be a Level II in NDT (UT/PT/MT/RT)
• Certified welding inspector from either CSWIP / WRI / TWI/CWI
• Should have a good knowledge of Raw Material Testing & Inspection, Welding Inspection, Painting Inspection of Structural Steel Fabrication shop.
• Well verse with IS, ASME, AWS codes.
• Preferably certified ISO internal auditor
• In-depth knowledge of quality control procedures and legal standards.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
