Job Description :

We are looking for an experienced and proactive L1 Support Engineer to join our team.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in troubleshooting, identifying issues in databases, and making necessary updates to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

The role also requires the ability to execute and write Python scripts, as well as connecting to production environments to address and resolve issues promptly.

Key Responsibilities :

Database Connectivity & Troubleshooting :

- Connect to production databases (SQL, NoSQL) to analyze and identify issues affecting the application or system performance.

- Investigate database-related issues, run queries, and resolve data inconsistencies.

- Collaborate with the development and infrastructure teams to resolve complex issues.

SOP Review & Updates :

- Review and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for existing processes and workflows.

- Identify gaps in current SOPs and make suggestions for improvements or automation.

- Maintain comprehensive documentation of procedures, processes, and resolutions.

Script Execution & Automation :

- Execute and troubleshoot scripts (e.g, SQL queries, shell scripts) as required to support ongoing operations.

- Write, modify, and optimize Python scripts for automation of recurring tasks and system integrations.

- Collaborate with other teams to enhance scripts for better performance and scalability.

Production Environment Support :

- Gain access to the production environment to troubleshoot and resolve issues in real-time.

- Ensure minimal downtime by diagnosing and fixing production issues efficiently and effectively.

- Perform routine checks and monitor system health to ensure smooth operations.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Hands-on experience with database management and troubleshooting, including experience in SQL or NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.)

- Strong knowledge of Python scripting, including the ability to write scripts for automation, data extraction, and system management.

- Experience in connecting to production environments and resolving critical issues in real-time.

- Ability to update and maintain SOPs and suggest improvements for system optimization.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose issues in systems and databases.

- Experience in executing SQL queries and scripts for database maintenance and troubleshooting.

- Familiarity with Linux/Unix shell scripting is a plus.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear documentation and reporting
