Senior Accountant

Role & responsibilities

1. Accounting & Financial Management:
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Ensure timely and accurate posting of financial transactions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions.
2. Taxation & Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory requirements.
• Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring timely submission.
• Assist in handling tax assessments and audits.
3. Audit & Internal Controls:
• Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation.
• Implement financial controls and ensure adherence to accounting policies.
• Maintain proper documentation and records for compliance.
4. Financial Planning & Reporting:
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and variances.
• Provide insights and recommendations for cost optimization.
5. Banking & Treasury Management:
• Manage cash flow and ensure adequate liquidity.
• Reconcile bank statements and coordinate with banks for transactions.
• Handle loan documentation and fund management.
6. Process Improvement & ERP Implementation:
• Improve accounting processes for better efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure proper utilization of ERP and accounting software.
• Implement best practices in financial reporting.
7. Team Coordination & Support:
• Guide junior accountants and support their professional development.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights.
• Assist senior management with financial data and reports.

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience in handling audits and liaising with statutory authorities.
• Knowledge of IFRS and Ind AS.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
