About the Job :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ServiceNow Developer with a strong focus on CMDB (Configuration Management Database). The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of ServiceNow platform capabilities, particularly in the areas of CMDB design, implementation, and maintenance, as well as Discovery configuration and troubleshooting. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our CMDB, enabling effective IT service management and operations.

Responsibilities :

- Design, implement, and maintain the ServiceNow CMDB, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.

- Develop and implement CMDB data models, relationships, and attributes to support business and IT requirements.

- Establish and enforce CMDB data governance policies and procedures.

- Perform regular CMDB audits and data reconciliation activities.

- Troubleshoot and resolve CMDB data issues and discrepancies.

- Develop and maintain CMDB reports and dashboards for monitoring and analysis.

- Configure and maintain ServiceNow Discovery schedules, probes, and sensors.

- Troubleshoot Discovery issues, including connectivity, credentials, and data collection problems.

- Customize Discovery patterns and scripts to accurately identify and classify configuration items (CIs).

- Ensure successful population of the CMDB with accurate and up-to-date Discovery data.

- Implement and maintain Service Mapping to visualize application dependencies and infrastructure relationships.

- Develop and customize ServiceNow applications and modules to support CMDB and Discovery processes.

- Write and maintain server-side and client-side scripts, business rules, UI policies, and workflow configurations.

- Integrate ServiceNow with other IT systems and tools using REST APIs, SOAP, and other integration methods.

- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to ServiceNow development best practices.

- Participate in ServiceNow upgrades and patch management.

- Work closely with IT teams, business stakeholders, and vendors to understand requirements and deliver solutions.

- Provide technical guidance and support to other ServiceNow developers and administrators.

- Document technical specifications, configurations, and procedures.

- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on project status and resolve issues.

Mandatory Skills :

- 5-8 years of experience as a ServiceNow Developer.

- Extensive experience with ServiceNow CMDB design, implementation, and maintenance.

- Strong understanding of ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping.

- Proficiency in ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript, Glide API).

- Experience with ServiceNow workflows, business rules, and UI policies.

- Knowledge of ITIL best practices, particularly Configuration Management.

- Strong understanding of network infrastructure, servers, and applications.

- Excellent SQL skills.

Preferred Skills :

- ServiceNow certifications (Certified System Administrator, Certified Implementation Specialist - CMDB).

- Experience with ServiceNow integration using REST APIs and SOAP.

- Knowledge of cloud platforms ( AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
