Role & responsibilities
1. Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets through effective prospecting, lead generation, and client conversion.
2. Assist the Head of Commercial in securing core sponsorship packages, including kit and stadium advertisements.
3. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
4. Develop and sell sponsorship packages for home matches, hospitality, and e-based media platforms.
5. Develop an in-depth understanding of the company's services to effectively communicate features, benefits, and value propositions to clients.
6. Analyze market trends, identify potential customers, and develop strategies to capture new business opportunities.
7. Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and negotiations with clients to close deals.
8. Support grassroots football programs by engaging with schools, clubs, and local organizations.
9. Organize and oversee community outreach initiatives to raise awareness of the club and increase program enrollments.
10. Ensure all match day and non-match day commercial partner requirements are fulfilled, including hospitality and sponsorship activation.
11. Collaborate with the marketing team to execute promotional campaigns for training camps, football schools, and other programs.
12. Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and follow-up actions in CRM systems or sales databases.
13. Work closely with marketing and product teams to align sales efforts with company objectives and promotional campaigns.
14. Analyze stakeholder data to identify and propose new commercial opportunities.
15. Represent the club with professionalism, ensuring excellent customer service in all interactions.
16. Other duties as assigned from time to time by the Chief Football Officer and/or Head of Commercial.
Qualifications/Requirements
1. Education
○ Bachelors degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred).
2. Experience
○ Minimum 1–2 years of experience in sales, marketing, customer service, or a related field.
○ Experience in the sports industry or community engagement is an advantage.
3. Skills
○ Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
○ Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
○ Ability to persuade and negotiate effectively.
○ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
4. Other Requirements
○ Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
○ Willingness to travel for client meetings and events.
○ Professional appearance and demeanor.
