Required Technical and Professional Experience

• 6+ years of experience of working as a My SQL DBA and Apache Airflow management.

• Deep understanding of OOP and Design pattern.

• Create, modify and delete database and database objects

• Create, modify and delete users and properties

• Create, modify and delete maintenance jobs

• Perform periodic database performance tuning as per the documented procedures

• Perform periodic housekeeping of Database.

• Perform orderly start-up and shutdown of database services

• Add, modify and delete permissions to database objects and troubleshoot user logins

• Rectify database configuration problems

• Based on Customer’s policy provided during transition:

• Perform regular defragmentation activities for better space management and performance

• Grant and revoke database access to users

• Participation in DR drill

• Housekeeping on DR server- cleaning up of Archive logs and Alert logs/transaction logs

• Re-build DR instance from available backup in case of crash.

• Workflow Management: Orchestrate workflows using Directed (DAGs) written in Python.

• Set up bucket for DAGs, plugins, and Python requirements

• Monitor DAGs from the Apache Airflow user interface (UI)

• Set up Airflow configuration, comms & variables

• Automate the DAG execution and deployments of DAG’s through CI/CD Dev ops pipeline

• DAG update deployments and upgrade Apache Airflow

• checking error logs.

• Reconfigure Airflow parameters

• Review logs and events.

• Resolve Python code issues.

• Generate performance, usage, compliance reports, and executive dashboards

• Monitor KPIs, develop custom reports, and update dashboards

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience

• Certification in one or more of the hyperscalers (Azure, AWS, and Google GCP) - otherwise, you can obtain certifications with Kyndryl

• Experience with DevOps tools and modern engineering practices
