About the role :

The Interactive Solutions business unit at Sportz Interactive provides fan engagement products geared towards Digital Transformation such as Websites, Apps, CMS, Fan Loyalty & Rewards, Match Centers, and Gaming Solutions such as Fantasy Games, Quiz, Vote, Predictor, Digital Collectibles.

Sportz Interactive is looking for a passionate technologist to join their Interactive Solutions business unit and help with achieving the next leap in the organization's journey.

SportzInteractive is looking for a Senior Engineer with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience to join their Gaming product business unit and help with achieving the next leap in the organization's journey.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and mentor the engineering team across Development functions.

- Foster a culture of innovation among engineering teams.

- Oversee engineering projects to ensure they are delivered on time, within scope, and with high quality.

- Proactively identify and resolve operational challenges and bottlenecks.

- Establish and refine engineering best practices, standards, and processes - including the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

- Actively contributing with the development process such as planning, coding, debugging, testing, deployment etc.

- Oversee engineering projects to ensure they are delivered on time, within scope, and with high quality.

- Proactively identify and resolve operational challenges and bottlenecks.

- Understanding systems architecture and design and translating into functional applications

- Performing code reviews, advocating code quality and engineering best practices

- Being involved with R & D, being aware of technology trends

- Managing a small-sized development team and providing mentorship

- Providing On Call escalation support during marquee events and criticalsystem deployments

- Representing SportzInteractive at client forums such as calls, meetings etc. as required

Background and Experience :

- In-depth knowledge of working with the .NET framework - .Net, .Net Core, Web APIs, Microservices, Daemon programs

- Proficient with Cloud Technology (Preferably AWS), Docker, Container, Akamai, Cloud Formation, Redis Cache, CI/CD Pipeline.

- Proficient with Project Management tools like JIRA and Agile methodology.

- Knowledge of working with RDBMS such as PostgreSQL and PL SQL

- Knowledge of Source Code Versioning and DevOps practices

- Knowledge of working with NoSQL databases such as Redis and Elasticsearch

- Knowledge of JavaScript

- A substantial background of having worked in fast-paced, dynamic environments.

- Experience of working with real-time, low latency, high availability systems
