Job Description


Role OverviewThe Product Marketing Manager will lead the creation and execution of content and marketing strategies for Sportstechs e-commerce platform, focusing on Product Detail Pages (PDPs) and customer experience enhancements. This role requires hands-on involvement in concept development, content production, and storyboarding to deliver high-impact, conversion-focused content. Youll independently drive content improvements by leveraging industry benchmarks, customer insights, and best practices, reducing the need for top management involvement.
Key Responsibilities

  • Content Conceptualization & Storyboarding: Develop creative concepts and storyboards for PDPs and marketing content, ensuring alignment with brand messaging and user engagement goals. Plan content flow, visual storytelling elements, and user journey paths that highlight product features and benefits.
  • Content Production Oversight: Oversee content production, including working with designers, videographers, and photographers, to ensure high-quality assets that enhance product appeal and align with market standards. Manage timelines, provide creative direction, and ensure consistency in all deliverables.
  • User Research & Insights Gathering: Conduct user research and analyze buyer personas to inform content strategies. Use these insights to ensure marketing messages are tailored to customer preferences and drive engagement.
  • Data-Driven Optimization: Monitor and analyze content performance metrics such as click-through rates, conversion rates, and engagement levels. Use this data to optimize and iterate content, ensuring it effectively supports conversion goals.
  • Cross-functional Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional initiatives by working closely with Product Design, Development, and Content teams to ensure alignment on marketing and e-commerce strategies. Coordinate the execution of content changes and ensure they meet both brand and functional objectives.
  • Competitive Benchmarking & Industry Analysis: Conduct regular benchmarking and competitor analysis to stay ahead of industry trends and apply best practices to Sportstech’s e-commerce platform.
  • Content Calendar Management: Develop and manage a content calendar for the e-commerce platform, ensuring timely updates and consistency across all product pages. Coordinate seasonal campaigns, new product launches, and promotional content.
  • Documentation & Process Improvements: Establish and document content production workflows, providing structure and guidance for the team to independently manage future updates and align with Sportstech’s long-term content strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field; MBA or relevant certification is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in product marketing, content strategy, or digital marketing, with a focus on e-commerce.
  • Proven experience in content production, storyboarding, and project management, especially for PDPs or related digital assets.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven content optimization (e.g., A/B testing, conversion tracking).
  • Proficiency with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics) and content management systems.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and storytelling skills.
  • Independent thinker and proactive leader with a collaborative mindset.
