Sourcing Manager - Rider Recruitment

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and resourceful Sourcing Manager to oversee the recruitment and onboarding of delivery riders for our e-commerce platform. This role involves managing large-scale hiring campaigns to ensure we have a reliable, high-performing rider fleet across multiple locations. You will be responsible for sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding 1000+ riders, ensuring an efficient and seamless recruitment process.

Key Responsibilities:

End-to-End Rider Recruitment:

  • Lead large-scale recruitment efforts to hire 1000+ delivery riders across multiple locations.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to create and execute targeted sourcing strategies.
  • Manage job postings, recruitment campaigns, and job fairs to attract a diverse pool of candidates.

Candidate Sourcing & Screening:

  • Use a variety of sourcing channels (e.g., job boards, social media, walk-ins, referral programs) to build a strong candidate pipeline.
  • Screen applications, conduct initial interviews, and assess rider qualifications based on company requirements.
  • Coordinate rider assessments (such as driving tests, background checks) to ensure that all riders meet the companys standards.

Onboarding & Training:

  • Oversee the onboarding process, including documentation, training, and introducing riders to company policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with training teams to ensure new riders are properly trained on delivery protocols, safety, and customer service.

Collaboration with Operations Teams:

  • Work closely with the operations and logistics teams to forecast rider needs based on order volumes and seasonal fluctuations.
  • Align rider recruitment with operational requirements to maintain service efficiency and delivery speed.

Rider Retention and Engagement:

  • Implement strategies to engage and retain high-performing riders.
  • Monitor rider performance and identify opportunities for retention or upskilling.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to manage rider benefits and welfare programs.

Data-Driven Decisions:

  • Use data and analytics to track sourcing effectiveness, candidate conversion rates, and hiring metrics.
  • Continuously assess and optimize the recruitment process to improve efficiency and rider quality.

Compliance & Safety Standards:

  • Ensure that all hiring practices adhere to local labor laws, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with health and safety protocols during rider onboarding and ongoing work.

Market Intelligence:

  • Stay updated on recruitment trends, competitor hiring strategies, and best practices to attract top-tier riders.
  • Leverage feedback from riders and internal teams to improve sourcing and recruitment strategies.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in high-volume recruitment, preferably in logistics, e-commerce, or gig economy platforms.
  • Experience managing large-scale, fast-paced recruitment campaigns, including sourcing and onboarding 1000+ candidates.

Skills:

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using recruitment tools and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage large candidate pools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including operations and training.
  • A proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to adapt to a fast-changing work environment.
  • A keen eye for detail, especially in vetting candidates for the delivery rider role.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet recruitment targets in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
