Performance Test Engineer - JMeter/LoadRunner (3-6 yrs)

Job Title : Performance Test Engineering

Responsibilities :

Performance Test Strategy :

- Develop and implement a comprehensive performance testing strategy aligned with project and organizational objectives.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to define performance testing goals, scenarios, and success criteria.

Performance Test Planning and Design :

- Develop detailed performance test plans based on system requirements and architecture.

- Design realistic and scalable performance test scenarios that mimic real-world usage patterns.

Performance Test Execution :

- Lead the execution of performance tests, including load, stress, and scalability testing.

- Monitor and analyze system performance metrics during test execution to identify bottlenecks and performance issues.

Tool Selection and Implementation :

- Evaluate, select, and implement performance testing tools that meet project requirements.

- Configure and maintain performance testing tools to ensure accurate and repeatable test results.

Collaboration and Communication :

- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and QA teams to understand system architecture and dependencies.

- Communicate performance test results, findings, and recommendations to project stakeholders.

Performance Tuning and Optimization :

- Work with development teams to identify and implement performance optimizations.

- Provide recommendations for system improvements based on performance test results.

Capacity Planning :

- Collaborate with system architects and administrators to perform capacity planning and resource allocation based on performance test results.

Scripting and Automation :

- Develop and maintain performance test scripts and scenarios.

- Implement automation where applicable to enhance the efficiency of performance testing processes.

Documentation :

- Create and maintain documentation related to performance testing processes, methodologies, and best practices.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Proven experience (3 to 4 years) in performance testing, with a focus on designing and executing performance test scenarios.

- Strong proficiency in performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar.

- Solid understanding of web technologies, databases, and distributed systems.

- Good in tracking performance metrics & measures.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

- ISTQB or similar certification in performance testing is a plus.
