Performance Test Engineer - JMeter/LoadRunner (5-8 yrs)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Performance Test Engineer to join our dynamic team.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing performance tests to ensure the scalability, reliability, and responsiveness of our critical applications.

You will work closely with development teams to identify performance bottlenecks, analyze test results, and recommend solutions to optimize application performance.

Responsibilities :

Performance Testing Strategy & Design :

- Collaborate with stakeholders (developers, architects, product owners) to understand application requirements and define performance testing objectives.

- Develop and document comprehensive performance test strategies, including test plans, scenarios, and scripts.

- Create performance models based on expected user loads and system behavior.

Test Execution & Monitoring :

- Execute performance tests using industry-standard tools (LoadRunner, JMeter, Postman, Katalon, etc.

- Monitor system performance during tests, including resource utilization (CPU, memory, network), response times, and error rates.

- Analyze test results, identify performance bottlenecks, and generate comprehensive performance reports.

Scripting & Automation :

- Develop and maintain performance test scripts using various protocols (Web, Services, Siebel, Mobile, etc.

- Automate test execution and reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.

Technical Expertise :

- Proficient in scripting and execution expertise with scripting protocols including AS/400 (iSeries), Web, Services, Siebel and other retail packages, Mobile.

- Hands-on experience in building test scripts for a variety of technologies such as Web, Angular, Services, SPA, GUI, SAP, SQL, Db2, Cassandra, Couch, IAM, IaaS, Oracle, Mobile, Cloud-based applications.

- Experience with performance testing tools (LoadRunner, JMeter, Postman, Katalon, and other open-source performance tools).

Technical Skills :

- Strong understanding of software engineering principles, testing methodologies, and performance testing best practices.

- Experience with various performance testing concepts, including load testing, stress testing, and endurance testing.

- Knowledge of monitoring tools and techniques for analyzing system performance.

- Experience with SQL and database concepts.

- Understanding of cloud computing concepts (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- 5+ years of experience in performance testing roles.

- Strong experience with performance testing tools (LoadRunner, JMeter, etc.

- Experience with scripting languages (e.g , Java, Python, Groovy).

- Experience with Agile development methodologies
