Sr. Footwear Merchandiser

Key Responsibilities

1. Merchandising Strategy & Planning:
   
• Develop and implement merchandising strategies to meet market demands and business objectives.
• Collaborate with design, sales, and marketing teams to create seasonal product lines.
2. Product Development & Lifecycle Management:
   
• Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle, from concept to commercialization.
• Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer insights to drive product innovation.
3. Vendor & Supplier Management:
   
• Build and maintain strong relationships with factories and suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, minimum order quantities, and delivery timelines to ensure profitability.
4. Trend Analysis & Market Research:
   
• Stay updated on global footwear trends, materials, and technologies.
• Provide recommendations to align product lines with emerging market needs.
5. Sales & Performance Analysis:
   
• Monitor product performance and stock movement, identifying areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with retail and e-commerce teams to optimize product positioning and pricing strategies.
6. Team Collaboration & Leadership:
   
• Act as a mentor to junior merchandisers, ensuring skill development and knowledge sharing.
• Work cross-functionally with design, production, and sales teams to meet deadlines and quality standards.

Skills & Qualifications

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or a related field.
• Experience: Proven track record of 58 years in footwear merchandising, with a focus on both domestic and international markets.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in merchandising tools, MS Excel, and ERP systems; knowledge of CAD is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
• Knowledge: In-depth understanding of footwear manufacturing processes, materials, and supply chain dynamics.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder management.
