ServiceNow Developer (4-10 yrs)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Application Development & Configuration :

- Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow solutions and applications using scripting languages such as JavaScript and Glide.

- Configure ServiceNow applications and facilitate the rollout of new applications and modules. Modules commonly utilized : ITIL, CSM, FSM, Service Catalog, Knowledge, and CMDB.

- Develop components such as workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, and UI actions .

- Integrate ServiceNow with other systems and third-party tools utilizing REST APIs.

- Create and maintain documentation for ServiceNow development, configurations and integrations

- Perform unit testing and peer code reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables.

- Maintain and enhance existing ServiceNow modules and applications to improve functionality and performance. Implement updates and patches as needed.

- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ServiceNow

- Collaborate with business analysts, system administrators, and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

- Stay updated with the latest ServiceNow features and best practices.

Qualifications :

- Education : Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

- ServiceNow Platform Experience : Minimum 3 years of hands-on development experience within the ServiceNow platform.

- ServiceNow Products : ITSM, CSM and FSM. Any additional product line would be a benefit.

- Scripting Languages : Strong knowledge of JavaScript and Glide scripting

- APIs and Integrations : Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, and Integration Hub for integrating ServiceNow with other systems

- Web Technologies : Understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and AngularJS

- Database Management : Familiarity with relational databases and SQL

- ITIL Framework : Knowledge of ITIL principles and practices

- Agile Development Process : Experience with working within an agile development process.

- Soft Skills : Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication and collaboration abilities, attention to detail, and ability to work independently, to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and in a team environment.
