Sopra Steria - SAP Functional Consultant - Steel Industry (10-15 yrs)

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented SAP Functional Consultant with a strong focus on the Steel Industry to join our growing team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for leading and delivering successful SAP implementation projects within the steel manufacturing domain. You will work closely with clients to understand their unique business challenges and implement tailored SAP solutions that enhance operational efficiency and drive business growth.

Responsibilities :

Project Delivery :

- Lead and participate in all phases of the SAP implementation lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, training, and go-live support.

- Experience in Greenfield S/4HANA implementations is a must. Conduct workshops and presentations with clients to gather requirements, present solutions, and address concerns.

Business Process Analysis & Design :

- Analyze and document existing business processes specific to the steel industry.

- Design and improve business processes and controls, with a strong focus on process optimization and industry best practices.

- Conduct Fit-Gap analysis to identify and bridge the gap between business requirements and SAP functionalities.

SAP Configuration :

- Strong expertise in configuring SAP modules relevant to the steel industry, including: SAP PP (Production Planning): Production Orders, Process Orders, Routings, Work Centers, Shop Floor Control SAP QM (Quality Management): Inspection Planning, Quality Notifications, Quality Records, Quality Audits SAP SD (Sales & Distribution): Sales Orders, Deliveries, Invoicing, Customer Master SAP MM (Materials Management): Procurement, Inventory Management, Vendor Management SAP FI/CO (Finance & Controlling): Cost Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Product Costing

System Integration :

- Ensure seamless integration between SAP modules and with other enterprise systems.

- Experience with interfaces and data migration activities.

Client Management :

- Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and collaboration.

- Provide post-implementation support and guidance to clients on best practices and system usage.

Qualifications :

Essential :

- 10+ years of hands-on experience as an SAP Functional Consultant.

- Proven experience in at least one full-cycle SAP implementation project.

- Strong expertise in at least one of the following modules : PP, QM, SD, MM, FI/CO.

- In-depth knowledge of steel industry business processes.

- Experience with S/4HANA implementations, including Greenfield projects.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Desirable :

- Experience in S/4HANA for Steel.

- SAP certifications in relevant modules.

- Experience with industry-specific solutions for the steel industry.

- Willingness and ability to travel to France for project assignments.
