The Impact You ll Make in this Role

At Solventum, we are seeking a strategic, experienced PIM Architect to lead the design and optimization of our Product Information Management (PIM) system. This role will be instrumental in ensuring the architecture and integrations of our PIM system align with our business goals, drive operational efficiencies, and enhance product data management. The PIM Architect will be responsible for shaping the technical strategy and managing the overall structure of the PIM ecosystem.

As a PIM Architect, you will:

Lead the architecture and strategy of the PIM system , ensuring that it supports business requirements and data management needs.

Design and implement scalable, flexible, and efficient PIM systems that integrate seamlessly with other platforms such as eCommerce , ERP , CMS , and external data sources.

Define data models, taxonomies, workflows, and processes that ensure high-quality, consistent product information across the business ecosystem.

Oversee the integration of PIM systems with external systems, ensuring data flows smoothly between platforms (eCommerce, channel partners, etc.).

Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their product data needs and define solutions that enhance the data management process.

Provide technical leadership and guidance on PIM system configuration , data governance, and quality standards.

Develop and promote best practices for PIM implementation , governance, and lifecycle management.

Lead the selection and implementation of new PIM technologies or tools when necessary, evaluating products and providing recommendations for continuous improvement.

Manage and optimize PIM system performance , ensuring it meets scalability, data consistency, and availability requirements.

Collaborate with data scientists , analysts , and engineers to define key metrics and reporting systems for product data health, quality, and completeness.

Stay current with emerging PIM trends , technologies, and best practices to ensure the system s long-term effectiveness.

Skills and Expertise
To succeed in this role, you need:

5+ years of experience in PIM architecture , design, and strategy, with expertise in platforms like Akeneo , InRiver , or other similar systems.

Proven experience leading PIM system design and implementation, ensuring alignment with business goals and data management requirements.

Expertise in system integration , including integrating PIM with eCommerce , ERP , CMS , and other business platforms.

Strong knowledge of data modeling , taxonomy design , and workflow optimization within the PIM ecosystem.

Experience with API integration (RESTful, SOAP) and data transformation tools for connecting PIM systems with external systems.

A deep understanding of data governance , data quality standards , and best practices in product data management.

Proficiency in cloud technologies , scalability , and performance optimization for PIM systems.

Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Experience in overseeing and managing PIM system performance , troubleshooting, and ensuring the smooth operation of the system at scale.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex integration or architecture issues.

Knowledge of agile methodologies and familiarity with project management tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.).
