The Reporting Accountant Specialist will have to ensure that the Group s internal monthly management reporting and external annual and interim published consolidated accounts to shareholders and to the US SEC are prepared to the highest standards and within the Group s reporting deadlines. Maintain the controls around the Financial Statement Close Process and ensure compliance with SOX.

What will you be doing?

Ensure that transactions are documented, in compliance with group standards (including the Minimum Acceptable Practices) and, where relevant, Sarbanes Oxley requirements.

Responsible for high quality, timely reporting for group and statutory purposes and providing ad-hoc analysis and decision support to the business.

Participation in the annual Budgeting and quarterly Forecasting cycles utilizing Hyperion and MS AX or any other ERP.

Accountable for balance sheet integrity and reconciliations, to safeguard assets and to ensure the optimal use of resources across the business; and to ensure that any ageing of balances is fully investigated and resolved.

Support and implement continuous improvement initiatives e.g. process standardization and business efficiencies, with the aim to lower cost, improve service and reduce compliance risk.

Ability to perform variance analysis to lead Balance Sheet and P&L review with respective stakeholders.

Build and maintain a strong working relationship with the transactional accounting teams.

Manage the requests from external and internal auditors, other advisors and relevant country Authorities. Manage local tax requirements wrt filings etc. with support from tax team.

In combination with the Finance Controller, monitor, assess and implement changes to comply with external reporting and accounting requirements.

Assess and implement changes to comply with internal changes to the business or S&N accounting environment.

What will you need to be Successful?

• Education: Qualified Accountant (i.e ACA / ACCA / CA / CPA / CMA) - Preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of post - qualification experience, either in global accounting practice or in industry. Relevant industry experience advantageous, ideally in Medical Devices or Pharmaceuticals.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, expertise and experience in reporting under IFRS.
• Demonstrates experience in analyzing financial data, drawing sound conclusions and developing proposals/solutions. Working knowledge and application of SOX control frameworks.
• Good to Have: HFM Reporting knowledge, experience of SAP / AX / Hyperion / Cognos.
• Proficiency in English - Good verbal, written communication skills.
