Job Summary
As an Application Support Engineer, you will act as a software detective, identifying and solving issues within critical business systems.
Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth functioning of applications and provide dedicated support to end-users.
You will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to improving the overall application performance and stability.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform independently and become a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
- Actively participate and contribute to team discussions.
- Provide solutions to work-related problems and technical challenges.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues reported by end-users in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve application-related incidents.
- Monitor application performance and stability, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues.
- Offer timely and effective support to end-users to minimize disruptions in their workflow.
- Contribute to the optimization of application performance and stability through in-depth analysis.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends to enhance application support processes.
Must-Have Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server Administration.
- Strong understanding of system administration and troubleshooting in a Windows Server environment.
- Experience managing and maintaining Windows Server infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and patch management.
- Knowledge of Active Directory administration, including user management, group policies, and security permissions.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory.
- Knowledge of other relevant networking protocols.
- Exposure to modern application support processes and tools.
Soft Skills :
- Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Collaborative mindset, capable of working well with cross-functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail and proactive approach to identifying potential issues.
Educational Qualifications
- Completion of at least 15 years of full-time education in a relevant field
