This role is for a substantial, fast-growing, and well-respected UK Design and Manufacturing Firm who have hired us to exclusively recruit for them. It is a permanent Work From Home position and every day youll be working directly as part of their UK team. It is a senior role with real opportunities to learn and develop.

The business we are representing has a long history and broad experience designing and manufacturing portable test equipment. Almost all its products are designed in-house using the latest development tools. They are well known for investing significantly in their staff - this will be a fantastic opportunity to learn and develop new skills.

They are looking to make a full-time hire for a long-term position.

Location: Remote Work from Home in India

Minimum Experience: 4+ years

Shift Timings: 12 pm - 9:30 pm (Summer), 1 pm - 10:30 pm (Winter)

Roles and responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain our web applications using Ruby on Rails
• Work with other team members to ensure that Kane Group applications are high-quality, secure, and scalable
• Stay up-to-date on the latest Ruby and Rails technologies
• Troubleshoot and debug issues
• Participate in code reviews
• Document code
• Work with our product team to gather requirements and design new features
• Experience with web development best practices
• Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Kane Group web applications
• Responsible for working with other team members to ensure that Kane Group applications are high-quality, secure, and scalable

Essential skills and experience

• 4+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails
• Relational Database Experience - MySQL OR PostgreSQL
• Experience with front-end technologies - JavaScript and HTML
• Problem solving abilities
• Communication skills
• Adaptability

Desired skills and experience

• Deep expertise in Ruby and the Rails framework
• Proven track record in building scalable, maintainable web applications.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), and a solid understanding of database systems.
• Experience with version control (especially Git), test-driven development, and continuous integration.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills
• Comfortable with using Linux based operating systems
