Job Summary - As a Product Development Manager, candidate will play a pivotal role in driving innovation, efficiency, and quality across our product portfolio. Candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, from R&D to production, to bring new products to market and enhance existing ones. Roles and Responsibilities Product Development - Responsible for the timely delivery of assigned projects related to innovation, renovation, secure supply, value optimization and quality improvement projects. - Responsible for right execution of end-to-end product development activities including formulation development, pilot & plant trials, shelf-life study, sensory evaluation, technology transfer and R&I documentation (specifications, protocols, reports etc.) - Independently prepares project approach & plan, design of experiments, R&I activity timelines, risk assessment & mitigation plan. - Design formulation of products that meet the agreed nutritional profile, the regulatory standards and Danone tolerance limits; achieve the cost targets and the taste requirements of the target consumers. - Define risks, opportunities, and way forward for critical issues related to food safety, quality and regulation. - Develop, bench test (lab / pilot), scale up and commercialize, ensuring that new and reformulated products are successfully implemented on the production scale and that targeted product performance is achieved. - Estimate the development costs required for the project assigned and monitor that the spends for the project are within the budget assigned. - Cultivate an innovative mindset - Follow product trends and ingredient / technology developments in the nutritional food business and help translate these into new product & project ideas. Process Development - Lead the development, scale up, implementation & industrialization of new and existing process through New Technology, Equipment and Process Qualification. - Explore innovative application of process possibilities based on current state-of-the-art food technology and actively engage in evaluating technical feasibility during the process - Ensure seamless implementation of new technologies across plant operations, supported by process qualification. - Support the development of robust technology transfer processes to facilitate late-phase production.
Job Specifications - Dairy Technology / Food technology with 8 12 years experience in the field of product development, Process developments. Experience in the field of baby nutrition is an added advantage. - Proficient in Excel and good at powder point. - From Nutrition / Food / Dairy / FMCG companies
