Engineer - Testing

Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements and specifications

Conduct various types of testing, including functional testing, system testing, regression testing, performance testing, and user acceptance testing

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and product managers, to ensure smooth integration and delivery of high-quality software

Identify, analyze, and report software defects and bugs using bug tracking tools, clearly documenting steps to reproduce and providing relevant information for troubleshooting

Perform root cause analysis of issues and work closely with the development team to facilitate their resolution

Participate in code reviews and provide valuable feedback to improve the overall quality and maintainability of the software

Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to increase efficiency and effectiveness of testing activities

Continuously enhance the testing process by adopting new tools, technologies, and best practices

Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in software testing methodologies and tools, and apply them to improve testing processes

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and prioritize testing requirements and communicate test progress, results, and risks effectively

RequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Proven experience in software testing, including test planning, test case design, and execution

Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies

Proficiency in using testing tools and frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar

Experience in creating and maintaining automated test scripts

Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++

Familiarity with bug tracking tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Experience with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, is a plus

Certifications in software testing (eg, ISTQB) are desirable but not mandatory
