Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager - Pre-Sales to lead and oversee our pre-sales team, driving the strategic vision, and supporting the sales process through technical expertise and solution development. As the General Manager for Pre-Sales, you will be responsible for leading the pre-sales team, engaging with potential clients to understand their needs, and ensuring the development of compelling and tailored solutions that align with business requirements. You will work closely with the sales, delivery, and product teams to enhance the company's positioning in the market, respond to RFPs, and guide customer engagements from initial inquiry to contract closure.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Leadership and Team Management
    • Lead, mentor, and manage the pre-sales team, ensuring alignment with overall company goals.
    • Build a high-performing, customer-focused team, supporting individual development and career growth.
    • Develop and implement pre-sales strategies to improve efficiency and collaboration between sales, technical, and product teams.
  2. Pre-Sales Strategy and Execution
    • Drive the development of tailored solutions, including technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proof of concepts, to address specific client needs.
    • Collaborate with sales leadership to identify market opportunities and define pre-sales strategies to win new business.
    • Ensure the pre-sales process is aligned with company goals, sales targets, and customer expectations.
  3. Solution Design and Proposal Development
    • Lead the technical and business response to client RFPs, ensuring the solution aligns with the clients business objectives.
    • Oversee the creation of detailed proposals, including cost structures, timelines, resource allocation, and implementation strategies.
    • Coordinate with technical teams to define project scopes and ensure solutions meet client expectations and deliverables.
  4. Client Engagement and Relationship Management
    • Work directly with prospects and clients to understand their business challenges, technical needs, and desired outcomes.
    • Build strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and advocate throughout the sales cycle.
    • Lead or participate in client meetings, presentations, and workshops to provide expert advice and address concerns.
  5. Collaboration with Sales and Product Teams
    • Partner with the sales team to ensure pre-sales efforts align with the companys sales targets, go-to-market strategy, and revenue goals.
    • Provide feedback to product teams on customer needs and market trends, ensuring product offerings align with customer expectations.
    • Ensure smooth transition from pre-sales to post-sales by collaborating with the implementation and delivery teams.
  6. Market Research and Competitive Analysis
    • Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and competitors to stay ahead of market demands and emerging technologies.
    • Lead competitive analysis efforts to understand market positioning and develop differentiated solutions.
    • Continuously refine pre-sales strategies based on customer feedback and market shifts.
  7. Training and Development
    • Provide ongoing technical and product training to the pre-sales team to ensure they remain knowledgeable about the latest offerings and technologies.
    • Promote best practices and process improvements in pre-sales activities across the organization.
  8. Reporting and Performance Monitoring
    • Track pre-sales activities, KPIs, and progress toward targets, providing regular updates to executive leadership.
    • Analyze and report on the effectiveness of pre-sales efforts, identifying areas for improvement and driving continuous growth.
