Overview:

The Statutory Compliance Officer ensures the company complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and statutory requirements. This role involves monitoring compliance, handling filings, conducting audits, and advising on legal and regulatory matters to mitigate risks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor Compliance: Keep up to date with laws and regulations relevant to the business, ensuring timely adherence to statutory filing requirements (e.g., tax returns, labor laws, industry-specific regulations).
• Regulatory Reporting: Oversee the timely submission of statutory reports, returns, and filings.
• Audits & Risk Management: Conduct internal audits to assess compliance, identify risks, and recommend corrective actions.
• Policy & Training: Assist in creating compliance policies, train employees, and raise awareness on statutory obligations.
• Liaison with Authorities: Serve as the main point of contact with regulatory bodies, handling inspections and audits.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Law, Business, or related field.
• Experience: [X] years of experience in statutory compliance or regulatory affairs.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of compliance laws, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
