SAP Basis/HANA DB Consultant - Implementation & Configuration (6-8 yrs)

Responsibilities :

- Install, configure, and maintain SAP HANA databases.

- Perform HANA database backups, restores, and recovery.

- Monitor and optimize HANA database performance, including memory management, query optimization, and resource utilization.

- Implement and manage HANA security, including user administration and authorization.

- Troubleshoot and resolve HANA database issues and incidents.

- Perform HANA database upgrades and patch management.

- Lead and execute complex SAP system refreshes, including homogeneous and heterogeneous system copies.

-Plan, coordinate, and execute SAP system upgrades and migrations.

- Manage and maintain SAP system landscapes, including transport management and change control.

- Perform system health checks and proactive maintenance.

- Implement and manage SAP system monitoring and alerting.

- Provide day-to-day SAP Basis support, including user administration, job scheduling, and system monitoring.

- Troubleshoot and resolve SAP system issues and incidents.

- Collaborate with application development teams to ensure optimal system performance.

- Document system configurations and procedures.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, functional consultants, and infrastructure teams.

- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates and resolve issues.

- Participate in on-call rotations as needed.

Required Skills and Experience :

- 6-8 years of experience in SAP Basis and HANA database administration.

- Extensive experience with SAP HANA database installation, configuration, and administration.

- Proven experience in leading and executing SAP system refreshes and system copies.

- Strong understanding of SAP Basis operations, including system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

- Experience with SAP system upgrades and migrations.

- Knowledge of operating systems (Linux, Unix, Windows) and virtualization technologies.

- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., shell scripting, SQL).

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.1 -

- Ability to work in a remote work enviroment.

- Availability to join immediately or within 15 days.

Preferred Qualifications :

- SAP HANA certifications.

- Experience with SAP cloud platforms (e.g., SAP Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Experience with SAP Solution Manager.

- Experience with S/4HANA.
