SAP MM Consultant (4-10 yrs)

Responsibilities :

- Participate in full lifecycle SAP MM implementations, from requirements gathering and design to testing, go-live, and post-implementation support.

- Configure SAP MM modules to meet client-specific business requirements, including master data management, procurement processes (PR, PO, RFQ), inventory management, and material valuation.

- Develop and maintain detailed functional specifications and technical documentation.

- Analyze and optimize existing SAP MM processes, identifying areas for improvement and efficiency gains.

- Provide expert advice on best practices in procurement, inventory management, and material planning.

- Conduct workshops and training sessions for end-users on SAP MM functionalities.

- Ensure seamless integration of SAP MM with other SAP modules, particularly SD and FICO.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions.

- Work closely with clients to understand their business needs and translate them into effective SAP solutions.

- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for SAP MM systems, resolving issues and implementing enhancements.

- Perform system testing and troubleshooting to ensure system stability and performance.

- Participate in cutover activities.

- Effectively communicate with clients, understand their requirements, and provide timely updates.

- Build and maintain strong client relationships.

- Ability to gather business requirements, and translate them into functional design.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration).

- 4-10 years of hands-on experience as an SAP MM Consultant.

- Proven experience in at least one full lifecycle SAP MM implementation project.

- Strong understanding of SAP MM core processes, including :

- Procurement (Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, RFQs, Contracts)

- Inventory Management (Goods Receipt, Goods Issue, Stock Transfers)

- Material Master Data Management

- Material Valuation.

- Experience with integration points between SAP MM and other modules (SD, FICO).

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Ability to create functional specifications.

- Experience with testing and debugging.

- Experience with user training.

Preferred Skills :

- SAP MM certification.

- Experience with S/4HANA MM.

- Knowledge of Ariba.

- Experience with LSMW or other data migration tools.
