Foundever - Senior Network Engineer - Infrastructure & Configuration (5-7 yrs)

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and intermittently improving our current network configuration and infrastructure.

You will design our revamped network infrastructure with the goal of maximizing our network performance.

You will also provide troubleshooting and configuration support by using your strong technical skills.

Responsibilities :

- Design, implement, and maintain the company's network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and data center networks.

- Plan and execute network upgrades and expansions to accommodate growth and changing business needs.

- Evaluate and recommend network hardware and software solutions.

- Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and virtual private networks (VPNs).

- Monitor network performance and identify and resolve network issues proactively.

- Troubleshoot network connectivity problems and performance bottlenecks.

- Analyze network traffic patterns and identify potential areas for improvement.

- Maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.

- Develop and maintain network standards and best practices.

- Participate in network-related projects, including network migrations, upgrades, and deployments.

- Manage network projects effectively, ensuring timely and successful completion.

- Provide technical support to end-users on network-related issues.

- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure smooth network operations.

Qualifications :

- 5+ years of experience in network engineering and administration.

- Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs).

- Experience with network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers.

- Experience with network monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, PRTG).

- Experience with scripting languages (Python, Perl, Bash) for network automation.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
