For our Global Technology Office and in the frame of a multi-year journey to cloud, we are looking for a highly motivated: Technical Writer

As a technical writer within our leading edge data analytics product team , you will be responsible for developing new content and documentation for a new cloud-native product that is being developed on Google Cloud. This includes but not limited to user guides, installation manuals, quick start guides, and release notes for written and online content. Additionally, the writer must be able to follow-up to secure detail needed. This person must be flexible and adaptable to change.

In partnership with multiple stakeholders, you will: Work closely with software development engineers to produce and maintain complete, accurate technical documentation Meet deadlines in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment Create urgent alert and bulletin documentation as necessary for timely release and publication to address emergent problems Obtain scope, content, and schedule of desired end product and develop plans and milestones to achieve success

Evaluate software during the documentation process from a customer standpoint to bring to light bugs, inconsistencies, and problems that need addressing before final system release

Collaborate with engineers, programmers and product managers to improve software functionality and usability. Design and produce HTML/ XML-based help systems for software. Create presentations in alternative formats such as computer-based interactive training, video training, and web-delivered documentation. Design and develop templates for technical documents

Expectations for Skills Experience:

+5 years of experience as Technical Writer Good to have: Microsoft Office Suite Display a positive professional attitude and be ready to work Follow all applicable standards and guidelines Work effectively both independently and within offshore/onshore team environment Understand and communicate complex technology in a user friendly manner Must have knowledge of: Tools like: Adobe FrameMaker, map info. Expert communication skills, both written and verbal
