Audio Visual Support Engineer

Job Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled and customer-oriented AV Support Engineer to provide technical assistance and support for all audio-visual systems within the organization. You will be responsible for ensuring seamless operation of AV equipment, troubleshooting technical issues, setting up AV systems, and providing support during meetings, events, and conferences. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• AV System Support:
  
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair audio-visual equipment, including projectors, displays, microphones, speakers, video conferencing systems, and other AV technologies.
• Provide on-site technical support during meetings, conferences, and events to ensure smooth operation of AV equipment.
• Conduct routine maintenance and testing of AV systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Installation and Setup:
  
• Assist in the installation and setup of AV systems for various events and conferences, ensuring proper calibration and configuration.
• Ensure all equipment is properly connected and working according to specifications.
• Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution:
  
• Identify and resolve technical issues related to AV systems quickly and efficiently to minimize disruptions.
• Collaborate with internal teams or external vendors to address more complex technical challenges.
• Customer Service:
  
• Provide end-user training and guidance on using AV systems, including video conferencing tools, presentation equipment, and related technologies.
• Offer technical advice and respond to user queries in a timely and professional manner.
• Documentation & Reporting:
  
• Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, maintenance logs, and service requests.
• Assist in the preparation of reports regarding AV system performance, maintenance schedules, and service needs.
• Collaboration & Coordination:
  
• Work closely with the IT department and other teams to ensure seamless integration of AV systems with other technologies.
• Participate in planning and implementing new AV solutions to meet the evolving needs of the organization.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Audio-Visual Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience as an AV Support Engineer or similar role, with expertise in handling a variety of AV equipment and technologies.
• Strong technical knowledge of AV equipment, including video conferencing tools (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams), projectors, sound systems, and displays.
• Familiarity with network-based AV solutions and integration with IT systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Certification in AV technologies (e.g., Crestron, Extron, AMX) is a plus.
• Flexibility to work outside normal hours when required, including event support.
