Role & responsibilities

The BDM - Network Centric Services will play a crucial role in driving business growth and expanding market share for Sify's comprehensive suite of network solutions. This includes:


  • Business Development:
  • Spearheading business development initiatives for new-age network services, including MPLS, SD-WAN, NOC services, IoT, and network transformation solutions.
  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, collaborating with account teams and independently driving deals to closure.
  • Developing and executing go-to-market strategies, collaborating with product and technology teams to create compelling value propositions.
  • Conducting market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for growth.

  • Sales and Relationship Management:
  • Building and nurturing strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, channel partners, and vendors.
  • Managing a portfolio of existing accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and maximizing revenue generation.
  • Developing and delivering impactful presentations and proposals that showcase Sify's capabilities and address customer needs.
  • Negotiating and closing deals, ensuring favorable terms and maximizing profitability. • Team Collaboration:
  • Collaborating with team of LOB specialists, BDMs, and product management professionals.
  • Fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders, including functional heads, product teams, and technology teams, to ensure alignment and effective execution of strategies.

  • Order booking and revenue growth
  • Gross margin and profitability

  • Customer acquisition and retention
  • Successful product rollouts and adoption
  • Cost management and eƯiciency


Qualifications:

  • Engineering graduate with an MBA (Sales & Marketing) from a reputed institute/university (preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in a similar capacity, specifically as a Network/Telecom specialist with a proven track record of success in solutions/services sales.
  • Deep understanding of network technologies, including MPLS, SD-WAN, NOC services, IoT, and network transformation solutions.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage high-performing teams.

Skills/Knowledge:

• Capability to own and drive major bid engagements, closing deals, and managing virtual teams. • Experience in working on large transformation/network integration deals.

• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), relationship building, and selling skills.

• Teaming, people management, relationship management, negotiation, and business knowledge.

• Significant experience in business development solution/pre-sales support, including pricing, presentations, and customer-facing negotiations on complex and/or major bids or deals.

• Understanding of RFPs, RFQs, and other proposal documents.

• Experience in Infrastructure, Telecom, and Software Services is a plus.
