Job Description

In collaboration with the direct responsible you must assure the accurate tender and offer process of turn-key EPC contracts relating to FACTS Projects (STATCOM, FSC, Synchronous Condenser etc.) to meet customer expectations in term of quality and reliability, in line with Siemens Energy profitability.

As a world leader in developing and producing the most sophisticated engineering technologies, in this role you can have a crucial role in improving and innovating the energy sector, being a focal point in the energy transition towards greener energy.

You will be part of agile and cohesive team based on individual rolls & yet working for common objective.

Responsibilities:

  • Engagement with GenCos, RE Park developers, TSPs, C&I customers, CEA, CTU, Grid India etc. for technical discussion, representing Siemens Energy FACTS solutions, supporting business development activities for FACTS portfolio.
  • Tracks recent developments in technology, demand, customer specific problem statements.
  • Provides support in market forecasts for FACTS solutions, in coordinate with GT Sales to improve our footprint in T&D market.
  • Provides multidisciplinary technical expertise, assist in optimizing the overall solution.
  • Responsible for Technical pre-sales and sales activities like preparation of optimized solution to meet customer requirement, lead technical offer preparation.
  • Leads the finalization of solution configuration in coordination with multidisciplinary engineering teams, global sales & PLM team.
  • Evaluation of tender documentation and requests of the client
  • Leads preparation of Technical Bid / Technical Proposal, techno-commercial risk & opportunity profile, technical negotiations, proposing alternative solutions or modification in requirements, ensures that proposals are technically feasible and compliant with customer requirements working along with engineering experts.
  • Assists strategic developments (solutions, process, proposal & vendors), to improve competitiveness.
  • Reviews and analyze operational experiences of installed projects to identify successes, challenges, and areas for improvement and support iterative enhancements to optimize solution cost and implementation time, by engaging with project execution, aftersales support teams and customer.
  • Awareness of internal and external competing Products & Solutions.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience of 12 - 18 years in similar roles with minimum 7 years of experience in FACTS Design & Engineering, Business Development and Product & Solution Portfolio Management.
  • Degree / Postgraduate in electrical engineering or power system
  • Good knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel & Power Points and working knowledge of MS office tools like MS Projects, Power BI etc. added advantage.
  • Willing to travel for business trips National or International for short period of time.
  • Self-motivated, strong focus on achieving goals, autonomy, and willingness to work in team.
  • Calm collected and collaborative approach to deliver under pressure and comfortable with change and complexity in dynamic environment.
  • Training, coaching and consulting skills.
