As a HVDC Study Engineer you will work within a team of HVDC project management and engineering specialists to design and deliver full HVDC control and protection solutions making use of a new transient network analysis laboratory
You will collaborate with the Engineering Manager - HVDC C&P on providing engineering work packages aligned with project and business objectives
How you'll Make an Impact
Planning, organization, and coordination of inspections at supplier facilities
Preparation, execution, and follow-up of non-destructive tests on gas and steam turbines components
Supplier qualification, development and active participation in the quality improvement of suppliers and purchased parts
Avoiding quality problems by developing preventive measures for suppliers
Methods for quality assurance and analyzing the causes of defects and initiating appropriate corrective measures together with suppliers
Implementation of preventive SQM methods and risk management in supplier-related processes, projects and products
Initiating, monitoring and actively pursuing corrective and preventive actions for suppliers
Proactive collaboration with a distributed team and internal partners
What You Bring
Completed mechanical engineering bachelors or masters degree, CWI, CWE or similar
Completed mechanical engineering bachelors or masters degree, CWI, CWE or simila
Certified to ISO 9712 or similar in VT, MT, PT and UT to at least Level II required, Level III preferred LT desirable Several years of relevant professional experience in the NDT
Profound knowledge in the application of quality methods, such as 5 Why, FMEA, 8D, RCA Consistent and self-confident appearance
Constructive collaboration across all levels of a global
