STRUCTURAL STEEL ROLLING MILL EXPERIENCE MUST

Job Summary:

The Techno-Commercial Manager will be responsible for optimizing rolling operations, maximizing profitability, and ensuring smooth coordination between production, marketing, and logistics. The role requires a deep understanding of rolling processes, cost analysis, and strategic planning to enhance efficiency and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Rolling Planning & Yield Optimization

• Develop section-wise rolling plans to achieve the best yield and maximize profitability.

• Optimize rolling schedules based on market demand, raw material availability, and plant efficiency.

• Analyze opportunity loss due to non-rolling of high-margin sections and provide corrective action plans.

• Plan and implement strategies to minimize wastage and improve raw material utilization.

2. Financial Management & Profitability Analysis

• Prepare and maintain the Profit & Loss (P&L) account of the rolling mill.

• Conduct cost-benefit analysis to identify areas for cost reduction and profit improvement.

• Monitor raw material pricing, conversion costs, and energy consumption to enhance margins.

• Regularly track and analyze rolling mill profitability to ensure financial targets are met.

3. Monthly & Strategic Rolling Plans

• Develop and implement monthly rolling plans aligned with market demand and profitability goals.

• Ensure planned sections are rolled within the scheduled timeframe to optimize plant efficiency.

• Adjust rolling strategies based on market trends, raw material availability, and logistics constraints.

4. Coordination & Communication

• Act as a liaison between plant, marketing, and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.

• Align rolling schedules with marketing demand and ensure timely product availability.

• Collaborate with procurement for raw material planning and pricing negotiations.

• Work closely with the sales team to understand product demand and adjust rolling plans accordingly.

5. Performance Monitoring & Reporting

• Continuously track rolling mill profitability, efficiency, and production KPIs.

• Monitor rejection rates, process deviations, and production bottlenecks to improve operational efficiency.

• Provide data-driven insights to senior management for informed decision-making.

Requirements:

Experience: 5+ years in a techno-commercial role within a structure rolling mill.

Strong knowledge of rolling processes, cost accounting, and yield optimization.

Proficiency in SAP systems, financial modeling, and production planning tools.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
