Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. *Audit Planning*: Develop and implement the internal audit strategy and annual audit plan, aligning with the company's goals and objectives.

2. *Audit Execution*: Lead and manage a team of internal auditors, providing guidance and oversight on audit assignments, including planning, fieldwork, and reporting.

3. *Risk Assessment*: Conduct risk assessments to identify areas of high risk and prioritize audit activities accordingly.

4. *Internal Controls*: Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management processes, and governance practices.

5. *Audit Reporting*: Prepare and present audit reports to senior management and the audit committee, highlighting findings, recommendations, and action plans.

6. *Stakeholder Management*: Develop and maintain relationships with senior management, the audit committee, and external auditors.

7. *Team Management*: Lead, motivate, and develop a team of internal auditors, providing coaching, training, and performance management.

8. *Professional Development*: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in internal auditing.

Requirements

*Essential*

1. *Experience*: Minimum 15 years of experience in internal auditing, public accounting, or a related field.

2. *Certification*: Preferably a CA

3. *Knowledge*: Strong knowledge of internal auditing standards, risk management principles, and internal controls.

4. *Leadership*: Excellent leadership and management skills, with experience leading a team of auditors.

5. *Analytical Skills*: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

*Nice to Have*

1. *Audit Management Software*: Experience with audit management software and data analytics tools.

2. *Indian Accounting Standards*: Knowledge of Indian accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

3. *SOX Compliance*: Experience with SOX compliance and internal control assessments.
