Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Head of Internal Audit to lead and oversee the internal audit function of our organization. The ideal candidate must be a Chartered Accountant (CA), qualified in the first attempt, with 8-12 years of relevant experience in internal auditing, risk management, and compliance. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing audit strategies, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing valuable insights to enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive risk-based internal audit plan to assess the effectiveness of financial, operational, and compliance controls.
• Establish policies and procedures for internal auditing and ensure alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Identify key business risks and recommend measures to mitigate them.
• Lead and manage internal audit engagements, ensuring quality and timeliness of audit deliverables.
• Conduct in-depth financial, operational, and compliance audits to assess adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial reporting, risk management, and internal control processes.
• Monitor and assess the effectiveness of internal controls, providing recommendations for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, accounting standards, Ind AS, (IFRS/GAAP), and company policies.
• Keep abreast of changes in regulatory requirements and industry trends to update audit policies accordingly.
• Collaborate with senior management to enhance corporate governance and risk management frameworks.
• Present audit findings, risk assessments, and recommendations to senior management and the Board of Directors.
• Work closely with external auditors, regulatory authorities, and internal stakeholders to facilitate audit processes.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams to drive audit awareness and compliance culture.

Key Requirements:

• Chartered Accountant (CA) 1st Attempt Qualification is Mandatory.
• 8-12 years of relevant experience in internal auditing, preferably in a BFSI, fintech, NBFC, or corporate environment.
• In-depth knowledge of audit methodologies, internal controls, risk assessment, and compliance frameworks.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting standards, IND AS (IFRS/GAAP), taxation, and corporate governance.
• Familiarity with regulatory guidelines such as RBI, SEBI, Companies Act, and other industry-specific compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in audit software, ERP systems, and data analytics tools.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
