Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a AGM/ Manager in the Underwriting - Non Motor division. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the underwriting processes for non-motor insurance products.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensuring efficient and accurate assessment of risks, policy issuance, and compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
2. Develop and implement underwriting guidelines, processes, and procedures for non-motor insurance products, ensuring alignment with company objectives and industry best practices.
3. Review and analyse applications for non-motor insurance, evaluating factors such as policy type, coverage, risk profile, and financial considerations.
4. Monitor underwriting performance metrics, including loss ratios, premium growth, policy retention, and profitability, and take appropriate actions to address any deviations from targets.
5. Provide guidance and support to underwriters, resolving complex underwriting issues, and ensuring adherence to established guidelines and standards.
6. Stay updated with industry trends, changes in regulations, and emerging technologies related to non-motor insurance underwriting, and implement necessary adjustments to ensure compliance and operational effectiveness.
7. Collaborate with the claims department to analyse and assess claim data, identify potential risks or fraudulent activities, and improve underwriting practices to mitigate risks.
8. Provide reports and analysis to senior management on underwriting performance, trends, and recommendations for process improvement and portfolio growth.
9. Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders, such as sales teams, marketing teams, and product development teams, to ensure effective collaboration and seamless underwriting processes.

5. Proficiency in underwriting systems and tools, and the ability to leverage technology to enhance underwriting processes.
6. Thorough knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to non-motor insurance underwriting.
7. Customer-centric mindset, with a focus on providing exceptional service and maintaining high customer satisfaction levels.
8. Strong computer knowledge Proficient in data monitoring, analysis & representation using Microsoft Office tools.
9. Willingness to travel.
