Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our solar energy team in the AP/Telangana region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the solar industry and will be responsible for driving the growth of the company through strategic business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the solar energy sector, focusing on both private and government sectors.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Conduct market research to identify new trends, competitors, and potential projects.
  • Lead the end-to-end sales cycle, including proposal submissions, presentations, negotiations, and contract closures.
  • Work closely with technical teams to ensure the feasibility and technical soundness of proposed projects.
  • Develop and execute strategies to expand the companys presence in the market and increase revenue streams.
  • Provide detailed reports on business development activities, market analysis, and competitor performance to senior management.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely project delivery and high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote the company’s services and products.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the solar energy industry, with a proven track record in business development, sales, and project management.
  • Strong understanding of solar power technologies, installation processes, and relevant industry regulations.
  • Experience in managing and leading sales cycles from prospecting to closing, including negotiation and contract management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Willingness to travel within the AP/Telangana region as required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (preferred).
  • Previous experience with government tenders, project bids, or solar EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of solar industry trends and market dynamics in AP/Telangana.
  • Strong network within the local solar industry, including key stakeholders, contractors, and regulators.
