Fire And Safety Manger

The individual will support QHSE team at CFS & Container Depot and will administer fire prevention and protection programs, safety management plans, and emergency response procedures in Terminal.

This position will work as part of QHSE department. Specifically, this position will be responsible to Support, Manage, Plan and Execute all fire and life safety programs within the organization to minimize the risk of fire-related incidents and ensure compliance as per fire and safety codes and regulations.

This incumbent will partner and support operations team in the organization to effectively implement fire and safety programs and procedures.

In addition, this role will Manage the fire and safety team, training of all personnel and additionally provide technical support to other departments in organization on fire and life safety issues, Utilize safety equipment and manpower in most optimal manner possible, Coordinate with all the verticals of the terminal for scheduled safety training and safety drills. The incumbent will lead Fire & Safety Department.

Education: Any Graduate with Fire & Safety certification.

Work Exp: 12+ years - Manager - 2 positions

5+ yrs - Sr. Exe / Assistant Manager - 1 position

CFS / Container Depot work exp prefered.

Job Location: Panvel & Chirner

Role & responsibilities

1. Respond to emergencies.
2. Liasoning with Local fire department.
3. Ensuring renewal of NOCs and compliances
4. Maintenance of Fire fighting equipment and utilities.
5. Risk Assessment
6. Organizing Fire trainings and conducting drills.
7. Ensuring compliances as per Safety guidelines
8. Conducting risk assessments and enforcing preventive measures.
9. Inspect wok activities, identifying hazards.
10. Responsible for issuance of all sorts of Work Permits within the premises (Height permits, Confined space permits, Hot work permits etc.)
11. Root cause analysis, Incident reporting
12. Conducting safety induction before commencing any new work
13. Ensure use of appropriate PPEs and other safety appliances.
