Job Description

A Business Development Manager (BDM) plays a crucial role in identifying new business opportunities, building lasting relationships with potential clients, and driving revenue growth. This role requires strategic planning, sales, market research, and networking to expand the companys reach and enhance its profitability.


Key Responsibilities:

Lead Generation & Sales Growth:

  • Identify and target potential clients through market research, networking, and cold outreach.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospects, partners, and existing clients.
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations, proposals, and pitches.
  • Negotiate and close business deals to meet and exceed revenue targets.

Market & Industry Research:

  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify business opportunities.
  • Develop strategies to differentiate the companys offerings from competitors.
  • Stay updated with industry developments and incorporate insights into business strategies.

Strategic Planning & Business Expansion:

  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement business growth strategies.
  • Identify new markets, partnerships, and revenue streams.
  • Work with internal teams (marketing, product, operations) to ensure the successful execution of growth plans.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Serve as a liaison between clients and internal teams to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Address client concerns and work to resolve any issues promptly.

Performance Tracking & Reporting:

  • Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for sales and business development.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on business performance, sales forecasts, and market insights.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced candidate from the building materials background with expertise in project sales and institutional sales.
  • The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in the industry and possess a strong understanding of the market.
  • A well-established network of contacts with architects, PMCs, contractors, builders, turnkey interior contractors, and government bodies is essential.
  • The candidate should have the capability to position our brand as a recognized leader in the market, ensuring it gains widespread visibility and recognition.
  • We are looking for someone who demonstrates an extraordinary approach to clients, is willing to take on challenges, and has a proven track record of establishing themselves as a market leader and brand developer.
  • The candidate should be results-oriented, showing through their accomplishments that they are the best in the field, not just through words.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum Qualification: Graduate (MBA preferred).
  • Experience: 5-10 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably within the building materials industry.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Negotiation & Interpersonal Skills: Proven ability to negotiate and build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Market Analysis: Ability to analyze market trends and develop strategic plans for growth.
  • Self-Motivation: A results-driven individual who can work independently and take initiative.
  • CRM Experience: Familiarity with CRM software is a plus.
