Site Engineer - SGS India - Mumbai

Role & responsibilities:

• Daily Supervision of works.
• Keep proper records of the Contractors' activities and work progress.
• Ensure that the respective Contractor(s) are properly administered.
• Assist the PM with the review of the Contractors' Work Program and scheme for the deployment of plant, equipment and machinery.
• Strictly monitor the progress of work for timely completion of the project
• Supervision, scrutiny, approving the final setting out by the Contractor.
• Assisting the PM with updating drawings, setting up quantity and quality control procedures and review of contractors' method of construction.
• Monitoring Contractors' operations including adherence to safety and environmental requirements.
• Assisting site engineers for issuing site instructions.
• Assisting the PM with the preparation of Variation orders
• Maintaining a record set of working drawings
• Maintaining construction records.
• Assisting the site Engineers for recording of Measurements of completed works
• Assisting the PM with the evaluation of Contractors' Claims
• Quality control of works; inspection of works, acceptance and rejection of the completed works.
• Verification of Contractors' monthly bills of the completed works.
• Progress monitoring.
• Conducting and keeping record of minutes of the weekly site meetings.
• Preparing monthly Progress Reports.
• Final inspection of works
• Verification of Contractors' Statements at completion
• Compilation and verification of As-Built Drawings"; and any other works related to the project given by Client.
