Senior Technical Associate (ESG & Sustainability)

Role & responsibilities

• Manage ESG consulting and reporting engagements by leveraging knowledge and experience in International Reporting Standards (GRI, SASB, TCFD, BRSR, CDP, CDSB, UNPRI, SDG, etc.)
• Good understanding of the CSRD, ESRS requirements to supports exporters to the EU
• Experience in delivering GHG Verification as per ISO 14064-3, PCF as per ISO 14067 and development as well as validation of SBTi targets
• Delivery management and Project Execution for ESG, Climate Change, Decarbonization, and Sustainability projects, with Indian and global organizations
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team. May involve team management, mentoring and grooming of junior members of the team as the function continues to grow.
• Development and review of proposals for clients as required, in compliance with SGS Indian and Global templates.
• Be the point of contact for clients and ensure timely communication, project execution and delivery.
• Experience in delivering ISAE 3000, AA1000AS, etc. and experience in conducting assurance of Sustainability Disclosures, BRSR Assurance, BRSR Core etc.
• Interest and Experience in developing ESG strategy, Stakeholder Engagement & Materiality Assessment, framework, disclosures as per client requirements
• Experience in development of ESG specific training modules and capacity building workshops and ability to conduct them independently, as need be.
• Demonstrate ease and expertise in writing Sustainability Reports and content on Sustainability.
• Willingness to travel both within India and internationally in case of business and client requirement.
