Role : Linux Administration - Meta Data Implementation
Job Overview :
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation in Linux/Ubuntu, ITSM/NMS products, networking, security systems, and project management practices. The role requires someone with excellent communication and presentation skills, a team-oriented mindset, and the ability to understand customer requirements and propose effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide technical expertise in Linux/Ubuntu fundamentals and assist with system administration tasks.
- Utilize knowledge of Network Management Systems (NMS) and ITSM products to support operational needs.
- Apply networking and security system knowledge to ensure system reliability and security.
- Leverage basic database knowledge to manage and support backend systems.
- Participate in project management activities, assisting with planning, tracking, and execution.
- Adhere to ITIL frameworks to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate effectively within a team environment, contributing to group objectives.
- Communicate effectively with customers, providing clear technical support and solutions.
- Understand customer requirements and be proactive in proposing solutions that align with business needs.
- Maintain an understanding of datacentre/infrastructure operations management to support a high-performing IT environment.
Qualifications & Skills :
- Minimum 5 years of industry experience in a technical or engineering role.
- Proficiency in Linux/Ubuntu fundamentals and familiarity with system administration tasks.
- Experience working with NMS/ITSM products for managing network and IT services.
- Strong understanding of networking and security systems, with a focus on implementing secure, efficient solutions.
- Solid foundational knowledge of databases and their administration.
- Understanding of project management practices and tools.
- ITIL training and knowledge of best practices in IT service management.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A good team player, collaborating effectively across teams to meet project goals.
- Customer-focused mindset, with the ability to understand and address customer needs effectively.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
Desirable Skills :
- Knowledge of Datacentre and Infrastructure Operations.
- Demonstrated ability to propose technical solutions based on customer requirements.
