Role & responsibilities

Exp. in Home décor & Home textile

1. Critical Path and Production Follow up for 100% OTIF deliveries

• CP running on time
• Timely Sample Submissions/Approvals and sign offs with MM
• Packaging, labelling and testing approvals
• Coordinate with QA dept for risk analysis
• Timely shipment bookings
• Timely final inspections
• Production file and sample library/record maintenance
• Anticipate issues/delays and do necessary escalations to MM/Buyer with creative solutions to avoid/minimize those issues/delays
• Maintain VAS Claim records and work on CAPA with MM/Vendors/Buyer
• Annual vendor/product/category performance review

2. CBX - Timely and accurate updating

• Work with MM for new vendor setup in CBX / COC review and approval
• Assign Product Hierarchy
• PO Assign to factory
• PO closures
• Delay/Cancellation reason updating

3. Proactively anticipate issues and find solutions

• Any last-minute changes/new requirements by buyers or PGS
• Raw material / product cost increase etc…
• Production issues/delays

4. Work closely with MM to achieve department goals

• Annual TO Targets
• Adding new products/categories and vendors

5. Travel within India as per business needs. Visit all strategic vendors withing India at least twice every month.

6. Organize meetings and regular interactions in person, online, VC or over the phone for sample/production follow ups, resolve issues and implement new strategies and business goals

7. Exhibit Discipline, Critical thinking, collaboration, and good internal personal skills within department and with vendors while maintaining high professional ethics

Preferred candidate profile

- Looking for a candidate who has working experience with buying house/ liaison office.

• Minimum 10 years of procurement and global sourcing experience in a retail enviroment.
• Experience of multi tasking
• Capable of successfully working in a complex matrix environment.
• Relevant technical knowledge of the products; knowledge of sourcing practices, ERP/P2P systems and the purchasing process.
• Excellent negotiation, financial and project management skills.
• Educated to degree level or equivalent, professional qualifications from NIFT or Pearl Academy.
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and oral).
• Ability to speak another European language is desirable.
• Comprehensive knowledge of MS Office and Microsoft Project or similar programs.
