Senior Manager - Product and Innovation

SELCO has been in the forefront of innovation in the Distributed Clean Energy space with focus on Health, Education, Livelihood, Water and other applications. The Senior Manager - Product and Innovation will be a key resource to drive Innovation and development of new Solutions. A key part of the responsibility will be to develop an Innovation plan and regular release of solutions to the Operations Team. Focus will be to build partnerships with external stakeholders like Government, Universities, Technology partners for innovation and partnerships. The role will require working closely with the Design, Projects, Field team and Logistics Department.

Responsibilities

• Need analysis based on Problem Statement from the Field and develop the optimal solution.
• Plan to implement the Lifecycle of a Solution from Pilot to Scale-up.
• Reporting on the technical and financial viability of the solutions.
• Continuous review and enhancement of technical components in line with the sector.
• Development/enhancement of Technical specifications of components and partner with technology vendors to ensure these specifications.
• Troubleshoot any complex installation issues.
• Partnership with Universities, Research Centers and Technical partners to co-develop solutions.
• Participation in conferences and seminars to represent the DRE sector

Requirements

• M.E/MTech/MS or Equivalent (Electrical/Electronics/Energy Management)
• Minimum 8-10 years of Overall Experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience of designing of Solar projects
• Familiarity in using Design tools
• Self-motivated, responsible and should be engaged and highly interested in the developmental agenda
• Ability to learn quickly from multiple subject areas and be a team player with excellent managerial and people skills to mentor and motivate other team members
• Willingness to travel for 3-5 days in a month or on need basis
