Job Title: Area Sales Manager (General Trade)
Location: Delhi NCR
Experience required 5+ years in FMCG Sales (General Trade)
Job Summary:
The Area Sales Manager (ASM) will be responsible for driving sales, managing distributor relationships, expanding retail presence, and ensuring sales targets are met in the assigned Delhi NCR region. The candidate should have prior experience in General Trade (GT) sales within the FMCG industry, preferably in the personal care, organic, or food products sector.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Distribution Management:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and volume targets.
- Appoint, manage, and strengthen relationships with distributors & retailers.
- Ensure proper stock availability and efficient order fulfillment.
- Conduct regular market visits to track competition and identify new opportunities.
2. Team Management & Development:
- Lead, train, and motivate the sales team (Sales Officers, PSRs).
- Monitor team performance and provide feedback for improvement.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and sales SOPs.
3. Retail & Market Expansion:
- Expand retail footprint by onboarding new retailers in Delhi NCR.
- Ensure visibility, placement, and branding at retail stores.
- Execute promotional campaigns and trade marketing activities.
4. Data & Performance Analysis:
- Analyze sales data and generate reports on performance, competitor activities, and market trends.
- Monitor sales volume, market share, and price positioning.
- Implement corrective actions based on market feedback.
5. Relationship Management:
- Maintain strong relationships with key distributors, retailers, and trade partners.
- Address retailer and distributor concerns effectively.
Key Requirements:
- Education: Graduate/Postgraduate (MBA preferred but not mandatory).
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in FMCG sales (General Trade).
- Strong distributor & retailer network in Delhi NCR.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office & sales tracking software.
- Ability to work under pressure and achieve targets.
