Business Development Manager - Flexible Packaging (Food/Meat segment)

About the role

This role is responsible for new business development activities in the food sector (primarily protein/dairy) across Delhi/NCR region. Knowledge of food science, packaging materials and technical packaging machinery is highly preferable.

*Note: First year will be primarily based out of Mumbai office, long term would be based out of Delhi/NCR on a fully remote basis.

Role & responsibilities

• Business hunting in protein sector and other sectors as per business priority.
• Conduct Market/Industry/Customer analysis and present for review at regular intervals.
• Value-based selling and arriving at price value addition scenarios.
• Develop a sales funnel/pipeline within protein & identified sectors
• Close opportunities/ orders within the stipulated time frame & deliver results as per the aligned strategy and business goals
• Stay curious & be creative to think and offer customers differentiated solutions, as per business requirement.
• Display good technical & commercial acumen.
• Establish industry network, develop new industry connections & retain key old contacts.
• Eye for detail when visiting plants and meeting high valued prospects
• Make techno-commercial proposals
• Develop & execute market/ product development strategies to meet the aligned growth goals
• Good packaging and food industry domain knowledge.

Qualifications

• Result oriented Graduate/PG Engineering/ Food science /printing & packaging/MBA.
• Capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams and participate as an effective team member.
• Sales to food industry/ Dairy/ etc experience preferable.
• Persistent and never give up attitude, should be resilient.
• Business mindset to identify and close projects & deliver results
• Reliable and Autonomous.
• Good listener, positive and dynamic.
• Very good English verbal, written skills is essential
• Demonstrated influence and proactive communication skills within a matrix organization.
• Fluency with Microsoft office tools, Word,Excel, Powerpoint etc
• Travel pan India 
• Should have owner mentality by focusing on fulfilling goals with a sense of urgency.
• Good analytical thinking
