- Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects, based on drawings, specifications, and site conditions.
- Review tender documents and cost plans to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Manage the procurement process for subcontractors and suppliers, including preparing tender documents, evaluating bids, and making recommendations.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable terms.
- Oversee contract management, ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions.
- Review and advise on contractual matters, including claims, variations, and disputes.
- Measure and record quantities of work done, ensuring they align with the project scope and specifications.
- Prepare and submit interim valuations and progress claims to clients and contractors.
- Monitor project costs, ensuring that expenditures are in line with the project budget.
- Provide regular cost reports to management and clients, highlighting any potential cost overruns or savings opportunities.
- Identify and assess potential financial risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project risks.
- Provide advice on cost-effective solutions and alternatives to improve project value.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project costs, contracts, and correspondence.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
