Asst. Manager / Deputy Manager – SHE

We are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated professional to join our team as an Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager – SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment).

**Position Overview:**  
The Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager – SHE will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety, health, and environmental programs within the organization. This role will involve collaboration with different departments to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements while promoting a culture of safety and health across the organization.

Candidate with RLI or ME Industrial Safety qualification and should have 10 -12 years’ experience in handling green field projects, plant safety.                 

• Coordinate for safe execution of construction of the plant building. Liaison with governmental agencies like TNPCB, DISH, Health, Fire departments etc.
• Leading a team of 4 and shall be able to manage the entire plant on his own.
• Process review of the safety, health and environment performance
• Comply with all applicable health and safety statutory regulations
• Maintain and continually upgrade health and safety standards at the plant.
• Conduct risk assessments of the complete plant and implement appropriate countermeasures to avoid reoccurrences.
• Conduct safety audits regularly and take all measures to identify fire and safety hazards, arising at plant and around the plant
• Educate & Train employees on Safety, health and environmental parameters
• Implement and promote proactive and positive safety culture.
• Ensure compliance of safety regulations from all the employees in the plant
• Implement Behaviour Based Safety Program at the plant.
• Recommend appropriate action to HR team in case of a violation of Safety act in the premises
• Periodical verification on all safety equipment to ensure quality in good manner
• Prepare and share daily/Weekly/Monthly SHE report to SHE lead.
• Identify the hazard and risks for fire within the plant and control them with appropriate measures.
• Formation of safety committee and conducting periodic meeting as per Factories Act requirement.
• Conduct incident investigation and implement suitable countermeasure for avoiding reoccurrence of the same. 
• Create a documented procedures and provide them in place for safe evacuation in case of emergency
• Ensure safe disposal of all type of hazardous wastes as per requirement
• Control the exposure of persons and the environment to substance hazardous to health, to prevent injury, illness or damage
• Incorporate ergonomic principles in all aspects of the working environment in order to prevent injury and ill-health.
