SBS Global - Network Engineer - Routing & Switching (2-4 yrs)

Responsibilities :

- Monitor and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.

- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and performance bottlenecks.

- Implement network changes and configurations as required.

- Collaborate with other teams to ensure network stability and security.

- Document network configurations and procedures.

- Assist in the management and troubleshooting of SAN/NAS storage systems.

- Perform basic storage provisioning and allocation tasks.

- Monitor storage performance and capacity.

- Support the administration of Oracle and SQL databases, including basic tasks like backups, restores, and performance monitoring.

- Work closely with database administrators to resolve database-related issues.

- Execute backup and recovery operations using tools like Veeam and Commvault.

- Ensure data integrity and recoverability.

- Perform regular backup testing and validation.

- Assist with Windows and Linux operating system recovery procedures.

- Troubleshoot OS-related issues and perform basic system administration tasks.

- Work effectively within a team environment.

- Communicate clearly and concisely with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Participate in knowledge sharing and documentation efforts.

Required Skills and Experience :

- Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, routing protocols, and network security.

- Familiarity with network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, VPN).

- Experience with storage systems (SAN/NAS) is a plus.

- Basic knowledge of database concepts (Oracle, SQL) is beneficial.

- Experience with backup and recovery tools (Veeam, Commvault or similar) is a plus.

- Basic understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems.

- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- CCNA Certification.

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

- Experience with network monitoring tools.

- Scripting skills (e., Python, Bash) are a plus
