Supply Planning Manager

Job Purpose:

The Supply Manager will be responsible for managing and optimizing the supply chain, ensuring seamless coordination between suppliers, warehouses, and stores to meet business requirements. The role requires a strong understanding of supply chain planning, inventory management, and vendor relationship management to support the operational needs of Sapphire Foods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supply Chain Planning:
• Develop and execute supply plans to ensure timely availability of raw materials and finished goods.
• Analyze demand forecasts to determine optimal stock levels across stores and distribution centers.
• Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure supplier capacity aligns with business requirements.
• Inventory Management:
• Monitor inventory levels at various distribution points to avoid stockouts and overstocking.
• Implement inventory optimization strategies to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
• Conduct regular audits of stock and reconcile discrepancies, ensuring inventory accuracy.
• Supplier and Vendor Management:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure a reliable supply of materials.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
• Resolve any supply issues or delays that may affect business operations.
• Logistics Coordination:
• Oversee the coordination of logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
• Ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of products to various locations.
• Work closely with third-party logistics providers to optimize routes and minimize shipping costs.
• Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
• Track and analyze key performance metrics such as order accuracy, delivery times, and cost efficiency.
• Generate reports for senior management on supply chain performance, highlighting areas for improvement.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency.
• Compliance & Risk Management:
• Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements related to supply chain operations.
• Identify potential risks within the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles, including demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and vendor management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in supply chain software and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Educational Qualification: PGDM/MBA in Supply Planning, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in the food and beverage or retail industry.
• Strong track record of optimizing supply chain processes and reducing costs.
