What you`ll do :

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Software Developer / Software Architect with extensive experience in developing software solutions on public clouds. You should have a proven track record of designing and implementing complex software projects, preferably with a focus on backup and restore functionality. In this role, you will have a significant opportunity to shape and contribute to the creation of Snappy, a new approach to backup and restore based on hyper-scaler native functionality.

Your role will be pivotal in transforming our innovative concepts into functional software, ensuring that our solutions are robust, scalable, and efficient. You should be working on different databases like HANA and Sybase before. You will be expected to lead technical PoCs, engineer and create new services, and contribute directly to our overall software development strategy.

You will have a chance to directly shape and contribute to the overall Enterprise Cloud Services strategy.

The Role:

As Senior Software Developer / Software Architect, your role will be pivotal in steering a specific topic in Snappy solution andowing a topic in terms of developement. You will be instrumental in the development and operation of this innovative approach to backup and restore based on hyper scaler native functionality.

In this role, you will be responsible for creating, testing, and implementing technical blueprints for Snappy solution, while driving its rollout. You will work on a technical level, focusing on software development and architecture, and the operation of the Snappy service.

Considering the complex nature of the Snappy project, it is anticipated that you will take an active, hands-on approach to tasks and will be equipped to execute advanced software engineering exercises.

Given the central importance of the Snappy project in our organization, the role demands many touchpoints across various teams. Consequently, excellent collaboration skills are required, as you will be a key contributor in nurturing the technological progress of our software solutions.

Your expertise and leadership will help shape the future of backup and restore services in our organization, ensuring we remain at the forefront of technological innovation.

What you bring :

- Drive innovation in architecture design, test automation, implementation, and maintenance.

- Provide sound, realistic effort estimates and support product owner and team with portfolio planning, product definition, and sprint planning.

- Develop and support innovative, scalable, and high performing technical solutions using emerging and state-of-the-art technologies.

- Experience and strong skills in Python and scripting (e. g. , Bash).

- Solid knowledge of data structures, design, algorithms, coding skills, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Must have experience with Cloud native services and development of solutions using public cloud APIs.

- Proven experience working on cloud products that have gone through an RTI (release to incubation) or GA (general availability) release is strongly desired.

- Familiarity with the Linux platform.

- Knowledge of storage, filesystems, object storage is a significant advantage.

- Familiarity with databases like HANA, Sybase ASE, MAXDB, DB2, and MSSQL is a plus.

- Ability to drive tasks to completion and take ownership of projects.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced and agile development environment.

- Knowledge in ECS tool chain like SPC, TIC, DED, etc. is a plus.

- Comfortable in using tools like JIRA, Github.
