As our customers are moving mission-critical business processes and workloads into the S/4HANA Cloud to evolve their business, it is our obligation to always deliver our services with the highest levels of reliability. We are therefore hiring a new Business Continuity Manager (BCM) for S/4HANA. The team s mission is to define and drive IT resilience, Protect Critical Data and Services and ensure minimal Downtime and loss. We identify service problems, reliability risks and areas for improvement by continuously assessing and measuring the reliability levels while considering issues as learning opportunities. Embedded into product engineering, the group will work hand in hand with development, product support, cloud operations and our customer success teams.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

We are looking for a DevOps engineer to join our infrastructure team. Challenge yourself in the fast-paced world of cloud infrastructure and become an integral part of the group that directs SAP s strategy to move to the cloud.

You will join us and perform the role of Business Continuity Manager. The Business Continuity Manager in IT is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the organization s IT business continuity and disaster recovery plans. This role involves assessing risks, ensuring IT systems are resilient, and coordinating responses to minimize downtime and data loss during incidents.

Business Continuity Planning:

Develop and implement IT business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
Conduct risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities to IT systems.
Create and maintain documentation for IT continuity and recovery strategies.

Disaster Recovery:

Design and execute disaster recovery testing and simulations to ensure plans are effective.
Ensure backup and recovery processes are functioning and data is regularly backed up and retrievable.
Coordinate recovery efforts and provide leadership during IT-related incidents and disasters.

Risk Management:

Identify and assess risks to IT infrastructure and applications.
Develop strategies to mitigate identified risks and implement preventive measures.
Regularly review and update risk management plans to address new threats.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with IT teams, stakeholders, and other departments to ensure continuity plans are integrated into overall business operations.
Communicate effectively with senior management regarding continuity strategies, testing results, and incident response activities.
Provide training and awareness programs for staff on business continuity and disaster recovery procedures.

Compliance and Auditing:

Ensure that business continuity and disaster recovery plans comply with industry regulations and standards.
Conduct regular audits of continuity plans and recovery processes to ensure they meet organizational and regulatory requirements.

Continuous Improvement:

Monitor industry trends and best practices related to IT business continuity and disaster recovery.
Recommend and implement improvements to enhance the effectiveness of continuity plans.
Evaluate and update continuity strategies based on lessons learned from tests and actual incidents.

WHAT YOU BRING

Bachelor / Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or Business Information Technology
5+ years of experience in IT, with at least 3 years in a business continuity or disaster recovery role.
Professional certifications such as Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) will be preferred
Open, friendly, creative personality with service-oriented professional can-do attitude, strong intercultural skills with proven agility and flexibility and a high sense of responsibility
Highly responsive, takes pride in always-on accessibility and thrives in a fast-paced environment
Ability to handle multiple tasks and deliver highest quality work under time constraints and in complex environments with little or no guidance

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Highly flexible and able to change course quickly.
Able to juggle multiple activities and priorities simultaneously.
Experience working in datacenter, cloud, and network environments.
Professional certifications such as Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) will be preferred.
Fluency both written and spoken in English

TECH YOU'LL LEARN

Excellent understanding of SAP s overall strategy as well as product strategy. Identify service problems, reliability risks and areas for improvement by continuously assessing and measuring the reliability levels while considering issues as learning opportunities. Excel in proactive business continuity principles, network with ecosystem and build reliable solutions that sustain future demands and stand the test of time.
